Common questions

Does my data leave my network?
No. B1 Bridge runs entirely on your local machine. The MCP connection is between Claude Desktop and your SQL Server — both on your network. No data is sent to external servers beyond your normal Claude Desktop usage.
What about SAP B1 on HANA?
B1 Bridge currently supports SQL Server only. HANA support is on the roadmap. Contact [email protected] to get notified when it launches.
Does it work with SAP B1 Cloud?
It depends on your hosting provider. If they give you direct SQL Server access, B1 Bridge works. SAP-hosted cloud on HANA is not currently supported.
Why is it per seat?
B1 Bridge installs on Claude Desktop, which is a per-user application. Each person who wants to query your SAP data needs their own license. Volume pricing is $39/seat for 10+.
Is my data safe?
B1 Bridge operates in read-only mode. All write operations (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) are blocked at the tool level. Your SAP data cannot be modified through B1 Bridge.
